Barbara Ann Corcoran

 Barbara Ann Corcoran is an American businesswoman. In 2001, she established The Corcoran Group in New York City. The company was sold to the company to NRT for $66 million. In the following months, she exited from the business. Corcoran was a participant in 12 episodes of ABC's Shark Tank seasons. In February of 2020 Corcoran was involved in 53 deals, with the biggest being a $350,000 investment that included 40 percent of Coverplay. Corcoran was the second child of 10 from a working-class Irish-Catholic family was born in Edgewater in New Jersey.  Her mother, Florence, was a household worker. Edwin W. Corcoran Jr. was her father. He was constantly moving between jobs and the next during Corcoran’s childhood. The family relied on food deliveries from a friendly local grocer for free food. Corcoran still remembers her father as someone who would drink often and was rude to her mother. Corcoran was a struggling pupil throughout her schooling. She later discovered that she was dyslexic. Corcoran started in high school at St. Cecilia High School Englewood after attending a Catholic elementary school. Corcoran was fluent in several courses during her freshman year. She transferred to Leonia High School and graduated with a grade of D.f
