Krystal Marie Ball

Krystal Marie Balm (born November 24, 1980) is an American journalist and political commentator. She was previously a presidential hopeful, as a host from the US at MSNBC and a frequent contributor of The Huffington Post, former co-host and host of the show The Hill's Rising together with Saagarenjeti. Enjeti and Ball have announced in the month of May that they'd leave the show to start their own project, Breaking Points with Krystal and Saagar. Ball hosts with Kyle Kulinski on the podcast Krystal Kyle & Friends. She has guest appearances on Fox News, CNN and Fox News. Ball is currently engaged to Jonathan Dariyanani, as of 2020. Ball attributes her further interest in politics to her experience after becoming a new mother during the 2008 presidential primaries, and watching the outcome of the 2008 US presidential election during her time in Jordan. She saw how it affected people in that country and thereby gained an appreciation for the global implications of US politics. She was a Senior Fellowship of the New Leaders Council. Ball was the Democratic Party nominee in Virginia's 1st District of the Congressional Congress in 2010, but lost to Rob Wittman, who is the incumbent Republican. She was host of The Cycle, a MSNBC television show that she co-hosted from June 2012 to August 2015. She established the People's House Project (a political action committee dedicated to Democratic causes) in May 2017.
