Kyra Minturn

 Kyra Minturn Sedgwick (born on 19th August 1965) is an American producer, actress and director. Her most famous role is that of the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson, on TNT's crime series The Closer. Sedgwick won an Emmy Award in 2010 and an Emmy Award in 2010 and a Golden Globe Award for 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson. After the end of the seventh season, the series was cancelled on the 13th of August 2012. Sedgwick is also famous for her recurring role on Brooklyn Nine-Nine, playing Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick received nominations for the Golden Globe award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's other film appearances include Oliver Stone's Born on the Fourth of July (1989) as well as Cameron Crowe's singles (1992), Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996) and What's Cooking (2000), Secondhand Lions (2003), The Game Plan (2007), and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick is the daughter Patricia Rosenwald and is an educator, family therapist, venture capitalist as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick VII Speech Therapist. Her mother, who was Jewish was of English and Episcopalian origins. Sedgwick has announced that she is Jewish and participates in Passover meal times.
